Increased Demand in AutoCad Conversion Services

During the recent years, countless of firms and individuals with the use of OCR engines or the services offered by capture & conversion firms, converted their hard copy documents ranging from newspapers, books, and legal documents to electronic or digital copies. Another area that is quickly gaining ground is the conversion of hard copy technical plans and drawings into electronic or digital format.

Unlike the common documents, owners of technical plans and drawings do not merely want an image of their plans and drawings. They want to be able to convert these into CAD drawings that they could easily modify as needed. Perhaps the most popular CAD application in use today is AutoCad which is created by Autodesk, Inc.

AutoCad drafting and conversion services offered by established firms may be beyond the reach of most small businesses and individuals due to the high costs it would entail. This is the reason why more and more people are turning towards freelance jobs websites to find freelance providers or freelancers to handle their AutoCad conversion needs.

How do I begin as freelance service provider?

Before I abruptly left my initial post last time, to work on a freelance project, I was toying with the idea of where and how I will begin with this blog. How would it be useful to my fellow freelancers and to potential clients? Clients? Yes, finding clients is perhaps one of the most difficult jobs a freelancer, whether a newbie or a tried-and-tested veteran, would have to face. Believe me; you would in time find the prospect of securing clients and freelance projects much easier over time if you learn how to go about overcoming such difficulties.

One manner of determining if you are on your way to becoming a successful freelancer is when you already have more clients and freelance projects than you could possibly handle. You may opt to refer the extra projects to another freelancer but I would discuss that in more detail in one of my future blogs. For the time being, I would rather initially discuss the difficulties a newbie freelance provider would have to face in securing freelance jobs online.

First of all, what services do you offer? How good are you in providing such services? What experience do you have related to the services you offer? Are you offering freelance writing services, freelance graphic designs, freelance CAD drawings, freelance data entry, or other services to cater the diverse freelance jobs in the online market? It would be much better if you would be able to list all of these down and arrange these in a professional manner. Other freelancers may have their own styles or approaches but this is one of the things that I believe I should have done when I first started out as a freelance service provider. It would have saved me lot of time and frustration.

If you have time, come up with a marketing spiel to attract potential customers. This, in itself, is an art that a freelancer has to learn. This spells the difference between landing a freelance project or not. You may soon discover that a properly created marketing spiel would most likely land you a project even if your competitors are perhaps more experienced or better than you in your particular field of expertise. Potential clients would, more often than not, be turned off by grammatical errors, incomplete information, or false and unlikely promises.

In my next blog, I would discuss how and where you can find potential clients...

the freelance station goes online...

Hello Everyone!

I am pleased to announce the beginning of my freelance station blog... I just do hope that at least some of you will be as pleased as I am.

What is this blog for? For starters, I intend this blog to be a forum of sorts for the freelance service providers, part-time workers, telecommuters, or what-have-you out there. For the purposes of this blog we would refer to them as a freelancer.

So what? Right, how would this be useful to you... a freelancer or perhaps someone who wants to avail the services of a freelancer? Good question. To be honest, this blog may not be for all the freelancers out there and believe me, there are indeed many of us out there. Us? Yes, I am a freelancer as well! I have a full-time day job but as a means to augment my income, I discovered the many benefits of being a freelancer. Oh yes... having a daughter in college was a great motivation as well... lol!

My point being? Before I go further astray, suffice to say that hopefully, with what little experience and knowledge I have along with the help of my fellow freelancers, we would be able to provide you with meaningful and useful information in the field of freelancing work.

That would be all for now... let this initial post serve as a teaser and a come-on for my fellow freelancers. I have a freelancing project to attend to and a deadline to meet. Catch you guys later! Thanks, the freelance station
